December 25th

November 15th

Again long time no update.
Where do I start?!

First of all, our big boy Jambo celebrates his 4th birthday!

My sweet "big" Clown.
You are the first, you are special.
I don't need more words, you know it....

And then we have been to some shows:

Bundesieger Dortmund 16-10-2009: Jinaki 3rd place EXCELLENT in a big open class.
Rusty 4th place EXCELLENT!

CAC/CACIB Leuven 25-10-2009: Jinaki 4th plave Very Good.
Rusty 3rd place EXCELLENT

And then last weekend!
Last 2 shows of 2009.

We went to Friedrichshafen.
On saturday there was CAC/CACIB show.
Females where judged by Mr. W. Schicker.
Jinaki became 4th EXCELLENT!!!

Males where judged by Mrs. G. Schicker
Rusty achieved EXCELLENT!

And the very last show of the year was on sunday.
CAC Friedrischshafen.
Judges changed.

And what a good ending of a showyear.

Both, Jinaki and Rusty where placed!
Jinaki became 4th EXCELLENT again and Rusty became 3rd EXCELLENT!!

After the show we have been to Marondera kennel, to see the little puppy's.
And the are soooo sweet!!!

And now we are taking a little show break.
We are busy with rebuilding our livingroom and will take some time for that.

Let's hope there will be a nice winter, with some snow.
So we van make nice pictures of our sweethearts!

October 15th

We are back home from Bratislava and what an amazing time we had!!
And what an amazing results we had!!!

After the big World Dog Show, there where 2 clubshows organised by the Slovakian Ridgeback Club.

At Saturday the males where judged by Mr. Zimmerman and the bitches where judged by Mrs. Tusanova.

Jambo started to enter the ring, in the PET dog class.
We stoped showing Jambo 2,5 year ago. But he always was so happy in the ring that we diceided, to show him once more, this weekend.
Jambo was 1st placed and after that he also became "BEST PET DOG IN SHOW"

So he was awarded with the title:

"BEST PET RR OF THE CLUB SHOW"

And he had so much fun in the ring.

After that is was Rusty's turn to show himself again.
And he did!!!!
Again he became with the last 4 male in hiss class.
He achieved: 4TH PLACE EXCELLENT!!!!

Mrs. Tusanova awarded Jinaki with a very good.

At Sunday the males where Judged by mr. Finney and the bitches where judged by mr. Zimmerman.

And again Jambo was the first to enter the ring.
Again he became 1s place, and again he was "BEST PET DOG IN SHOW"

And that means he achieved another title:

"BEST PET RR OF THE WORLD SPECIALTY SHOW 2009"

Rusty decided this was his weekend!!!
This time he became 2ND PLACE EXCELLENT!!!
Wit Res. CAC and Res. Club CAC

I still can't believe it 3 days World Dog Show and 3 days with the best 4 males of his class!!!!!
WOW!!!!!!

Jinaki achieved an EXCELLENT.
 

After the show there was also best head and best ridge competition.
At the second day, Jambo became 3RD BEST RIDGE!!!!

It was an amazing weekend!!! we had so much fun all togheter.
And the great results make it even better!!!

I AM SO HAPPY!!!!

And Jinaki made our weekend better and better.
After al the hard work we had with her, we saw a great result this weekend.

We made a walk with Kani, Jambo, Rust, Jinaki and Saba.
And we still cannot believe it, but Jinaki wanted to play with Saba!!
It was only for a few second and then she walked away, but it made us so proud!!

The perfect end of a great weekend!!!

October 9th

Wednesday evening we started our trip to Slovakia, for the World Dog Show 2010.
On thursday morning we arrived in Bratislava.

In the evening we visit Milada, Rusty breeder.
Finally I could show my weet boy to here again.
He is so happy now!
Rusty was very happy to see Milada and Tom again.
So sweet :-):-)

Today was the start of our show weekend.
The World Dog Show!

Jinaki entered the Open Class.
Judge was mr. B. Skalling.
Jinaki achieved an EXCELLENT!!!

Rusty entered the intermediate class.
Total entry was 26 males and judge was mr. H. Muller.
Rusty was the first male in hiss class.
We achieved an EXCELLENT!!

So after judging we had to come back in the ring.
There we stand with all the males who achieved an EXCC.

Very soon he picked Rusty out of the group.
YES, we are still in the game ;-).
Only 4 males had to stay in the ring, so that mean..... we have placement.

We had to run al lot, and Rusty was so happy!

And he became:

3rd place EXCELLENT

in intermediate class at the WORLD DOG SHOW 2009!!

We are so proud!!!

Fingers crossed for next 2 days!

October 4th

Today we haven been to CAC/CACIB show in Charleroi.
Judge was mr Tripolli (Italy).

Rusty achieved 2nd place EXCELLENT

And Jinaki Became 1st place EXCELLENT.
After that, she also became 2ND BEST FEMALE.
So she achieved RES. CAC/CACIB.

September 08th 2009

Last weekend we have been to the Clubshow in CZ.
On thursday night we started out trip to CZ togheter with Ilse and Nicolle, and a lot of dogs.
Jambo, Jinaki, Rusty, Kani, Mangeni and Kazuni where with us.

We arrived at Orlik at Fridayafternoon. We had a nice appartment, with enough space for all of us.
We walked to the lake with the dogs, where they had a lot of fun togheter and with the water.
We fell asleep very early Friday night, because we where all very tired.

Saturday we started our first showday.
We hoped for better wheater, is was so cold! But it was dry, and that important.
Rusty started in a strong intermediate class of 13 males.
Judge was mrs. Schicker.
Rusty was showing himself very good. We had to run a lot and it feels if he was
flying trough te ring.
Rusty became 4TH EXCELLENT!!!

Jinaki started in a very big Open Class with 23 females.
She achieved an EXCELLENT!
Judge was mr. Schicker.

We also meet one of Rusty's sister Alanis.
She is a loveley girl!

Saturday evening we had a nice meal in the restaraunt, and
we had a lot of plans to make it a late night.|
But again we where so tired, we went to sleep early.

On Sunday the wetter was much better. The sun was very nice.
And again the result where also very nice.
Rusty was again in intermediate class with 13 males.
And this time he made 1 step forward.
He achieved 3TH EXCELLENT!!!

Jinaki also did a very good job.
Again she avhieved an EXCELLENT.
But we have to say that she had to walk for the placements
with the last 5 females. Unfortunnaly she was number 5th and had to
leave the ring. But we a ver proud that we can say that she was with the last 5 females out of 25!

Also Kani, Kazuni and Mangeni did a very good job and where with the placements.!
Kani: Saturday 2EXC and 2nd best head / Sunday 3EXC
Kazuni: Saturday and Sunday 3 EXC
Mangeni: Saturday EXC / Sunday 3EXC

We had a very nice weekend! And we hope that we can be there next year again!!!

August 30th 2009

This weekend was a big show weekend.
Saturday we drove to Rotterdam, with the all the dogs.
Rusty and Jinaki enterd both the show, and Jambo was our mascotte.
Judge was ms. Lentroye - Lanting (B).
Rusty achieved 4th place Very Good (there where only 4 males in his class).
And Jinaki also achieved Very Good.

After the show in Rotterdam we drove al the way to Appel, a little place in Germany.
We stayed in a very nice Hotel.

On Sunday we enterd a special zuchtshau from DZRR.
It was a very nice show with very nice people.
The bitches where judged by mr. R. Oliveira.
Jinaki enterd a very big open class (23 bitches total), and achieved
an Excellent. We where very happy whit that, because Jinaki have to lose some weight, and
does not looks her best at the moment.

But then there was Rusty!
I still can't believe what he did today!
Rusty enterd intermidate class (9 males total)
Judge was mr P. Teixeira (Portugal).
After judging, Rusty stayed in te ring with the other 4 males who
achieved an Excellent.
So at that moment I was happy.
But...
Rusty achieved

1st place EXCELLENT with CAC VDH

The judge told me that I have beautifull ridgeback, from perfect type.
Proud me!!!

Rusty had to go back in the ring for the competition for Best Male.
He was toghter with the Open Class and Champion Class male, 2 beautifull males also.
The judge let us walk lot of round and watched them very much.
The champion class male, became Best male.
The judge told me that he could not make Rusty best male,
because his front is a little to small at the moment, but he is young!

But..... the judge had to choose a 2nd best male.
And yes!!!!!!
Rusty became:

2nd BEST MALE

So he also achieved RES. CAC DZRR!

Long time no update, we have been very bussy.
We totally rebuild our garden.
So our rigdies have a nice garden again ;-)

So you can see a lot of updates down here.
Not al the pages and photo's are updated yet. But we are working on it.

A couple weeks ago we received Rusty's HD result.
We are very happy that we can say that it couldn't be better!!

August 2nd 2009

This weekend Ilse, and me went all the way to Bremen, for a double show weekend.
It was a weekend mixed feelings about the show results.

At Saturday Rusty enterd youth class. This time he was handeld by Ilse so, I could see, how he
stacks and where we have to work on. Thank you Ilse.
Judge was Ms. P. Stracke (D), Rusty achieved Very good.

Jinaki enterd a strong open class. She became 4th place EXCELLENT. A result we where very
happy with.

At sunday judge was mr. U. Fischer.
First I have to say, Rusty did so great in the ring.
It gave me a very good feeling. But the judge touht different, and gave Rusty a good.
We accept it, but we don't think our brownnose deserve that.
But we still go on!

Jinake achieved again a 4th please and we really tought she got an excellent.
And yes she had, only when we got our judgereport, we saw the judge changed it to a Very Good.
We don't know why, but after all we could laugh about it.

It was a strange showweekend, but we had much fun with all the people!

July 25th 2009

Togheter with Ilse, I have been to the CAC/CACIB show in Luik.
I only took Jinaki with me.
Rusty stayed at home, together with Jambo and Martijn.

After a couple shows with very good, Jinaki is back in business.
The judge placed her, 3th EXCELLENT.

We have been to the CAC/CACIB show in Echt.
Judge was ms. R. Reijniers.
Jinaki achieved Very Good.

Rusty got a very nice 2nd place EXCELLENT.

We entered the CAC/CACIB show in Genk (Belgium).
Judge was mr. R. Doedijns.
Unfortunnally Jinaki and Rusty both achieved Very Good.

June 22nd 2009

Last weekend we had a big event.
The dutch RR Club, has there 30th anneversery this year.
 

At Saturday there where different workshops.
Jambo and me took part at the puzzlewalk.

Sunday was the big day! It was coursing time again.
Jambo, was the first one, and as always he was crazy of the lure.
He likes coursing so much.

Second was Rusty, and believe it or not, he was afraid of the lure.
Crazy boy.

Jinaki was third en she like it, but she don't go far away from me.
So after a couple meters she came back to me.

The second time, we let Rust en Jambo run togheter.
And Rusty liked that. He runs very fast togheter with his brother!!

Next time we let Jinaki also run with Jambo.

June 14th 2009

Yesterday after the show we drived to Martijn's parents for a visit.
At half past 9 in the evening we were goind home.
At a very busy way, we saw a litlle dog walking on the way.
Togheter with other people we managed to get the dog woth is.
We tried to phone some people, but nothing worked.
So we decided to take this litlle girl home with us.

She was very stressed, and seems to be old.
After a short night we started to search..
Maby we could find her owner.
And it was easyer as we tought.

So sunday morning we could bring her back to her owner.
They where missing "Sonja" since Friday.
Sonja, was 14!!!! years old.
So we where very happy that we could save her and
bring her back to her owner.

This weetheart deserves a place at our website!!

June 13th 2009

Today we entered the CAC/CACIB show in Berghem (NL).
Judge was mrs. Kerssemeijer.
Jinaki and Rusty both achieved Very Good.

May 31st 2009

Today we have been to the CAC show in Arnhem (NL).
Judge was mr. J. Schepers from Holland.

Rusty entered a big youthclass (11 entries).
He achieved a very good.

Jinaki entered open class.
And she did it again!
She achieved a 2nd place EXCELLENT!!!
The number one from Jinaki's class was choosen as Best Female,
so Jinaki could compete for Best Female 2!

And YES!!! Jinaki became RESERVE BEST Female!!!
She achieved a RES. CAC for her dutch championship.

Needles to say that we are proud again!!!

May 28th 2009

2 months ago we have send Rusty's pedigree to the
dutch kennelclub, to give Rusty an official dutch pedigree number.
After a lot of waiting and waiting, the kennelclub visit us, 3 weeks ago
to check his identification number.
And then we started waiting and waiting again.
But we have received Rusty's pedigree back, from the kennelclub!
With a stamp on it wich say's that we imported him to the Netherlands,
and also with his new dutch pedigree number on it.

So now we can say that our liver boy "Rusty"
is an legal citizen of the Netherlands. ;-)

And now we have his pedigree number, we could send
the pictures of his hips to the kennelclub.
Everything looks fine so we hope for a good result!

May 24th 2009

Yesterday we entered the CAC/CACIB show in Oldenburg (G).
Both, Jinaki and Rusty where entered.
Judge was Ms. U. Ralfe from South Africa.
And the result where wort it.

Jinaki entered open class (7 entries).
She became 4TH place EXCELLENT!
With a very nice report.
Since our litlle queen enterd the open class, she is most of the
times with the placements.
We are very proud and happy with that.

Rusty entered youth class (3 entries).
And evey show I got feeling we became a litlle more a team.
He is now 3 months with us, and wants to work with me all the time.
I can see he trust me with 100%.
And we can see that back in the ring.
We still need to practise and train, but I am proud, of my litlle
liver boy!!
Rusty became 3TH place EXCELLENT!!
Finally again the Excellent, wich I think he deserve!!
And also Rusty got a very nice report!!

So we had a good showing day!

Last weekend we enterd the CAC show in Alkmaar.
Judge today was Ms. W. de Vries - Hoogland.
Rusty achieved a 3th place with Very Good.
He got a nice report.
Jinaki achieved 2nd place EXCELLENT in open class.

April 27th 2009

This weekend we went to the CAC/CACIB show in Goes.
Judge was mr. M. Mannuci from Italy.
For us it became a very strange showday.

Rusty entered Youthclass togheter with 8 males.
For me he did great.
But the judge gave him only a good.
The first line on Rusty's showreport is:
"Completely wrong faceile acces, not any point of pigmentation"
That gave me the feeling he don't know what a livernose is.
So after show we asked the judge what he means with that line.
The judge say that he just don't like livers. When we asked him
what he think of Rusty's colour/pigmentation for a liver, he told me
that Rusty got the most perfect colour for a livernose.
But he just don't like livers himself, and that's why he gave my boy only a good.
Well we think that's not judging to the standard, but judging by your meaning of a colour.
But we will accept it, and next time will be our moment ;-)))

Jinaki enterd the open class with 5 other bitchtes. And she gained
a 3th place EXCELLENT.
So here we can be happy about!
 

April 5th 2009

Today we went to the Braboshow in Antwerpen (B).
Only Jinaki enterd the show today.
Rusty was with us, just for fun.
And big boy Jambo stayed at home today.

Jinaki was enterd in the Open Class. Judge was mr. Bosch.
Jinaki became 1st EXCELLENT!
Jinaki had to go back in the ring fot Best Bitch.

And she did it!!!!!!
Jinaki achieved the CAC and CACIB today.
She also got the title BRABOWINNER 2009!
I am so proud of my litlle girl!

She is now halfway towards her Belgium and International champion title!
2 down, 2 to more to go!

I AM SO PROUD!

March 29th 2009

This weekend we went to the CAC/CACIB show in Luxembourg.
I went there togeheter with Ilse and Eshter.
We arrived yesterday and we had an evening, with lots of fun.
All the doggies did great togheter in the hotelroom!!

Today was the day of the show.
In total there where 101 ridgebacks entered.
So there was much to see.
Judge was Mr. K. Jarvinnen from Finland.

Jinaki entered Open Class with a lot other bitches.
Jinaki gained a Very Good this time.

Because Rusty is doing so good, we decide to enter him also.
He was in youth class together with 13 other males.
We want to see if he is happy in the ring and likes it,
no matter what the result is.
Well Rusty is very happy and relaxed in the ring!
So we are also happy.

But that was not enough for my little liverboy!
Rusty became

2nd place excellent

We are very happy with this result. But we are even more happy
that Rusty likes to the showring, and he is so relaxt to other dogs.
And he is happy de whole day!

Rusty's next show will be in Goes in April!
Untill then we will go on with practising!

We have a litlle fence that seperate our living room, from our kitchen.
The reason of that is that our Jambo is a real cookymonster.
He can open the door of the fridge if he wants.

Already for 2,5 years this little fence works great.
But not yet anymore.
Rusty got his own way the come in the kitchen.

And no, Martijn was not calling him!

March 18th 2009

Today Rusty celebrate's his 1st birthday.
Your'e not yet a month with us, but we already can't live without you
anymore. You stole our hearts.
And not only our hearts!

You are already best friends with Jinaki,
and you understand very good when your big brother Jambo
is telling you something!

After 3 weeks you have find a place in our pack!
When I look into you eyes, I see a happy young boy.
You go with us everywhere and you have no problem with that.

You already made a trip to France, and met a lot of doggy friends.
You start to understand dutch, but sometimes I got to feeling you try
to play a game with me. ;-)

You love to cuddle the whole day!

Milada & Tom, we are so thankfull that you trust us, and that
we could take Rusty with us. I can't say it enough.
We are so happy with him!

Today we enterd the CAC/CACIB show in Leiden,
And we don't have a choice anymore.
We have to enter Open Class.
Litlle girls grown up ;-)

Jinaki did very nice. As youngest in her class,
she achieved 2nd place with an Excellent.

Rusty was also with us, to practise.
And he made so much new friends.
Human friends, who gave him so much compliments,
and he kissed a lot of litlle half borthers and sisters who live in Holland.
And we practise, that also is going great.
Soon Rusty will enter the show himself! ;-)

I want to say many thanks to everybody who helped me today, and always,
now Martijn is not togheter with me.
Thank you, you are all great friends!

Today our litlle queen celebrate her 2nd birthday!
Time flies.
We had 2 difficult years with Jinaki, but the last couple months
she is doing so great!
Jinaki we are so happy with you.
We hope you stay with us many more years,
you crazy litlle girl!

March 9th 2009

Last Saturday Ilse and Kani picked us up for the drive to France.
It was a long drive, but we had so much fun togheter.
The car was overloaded, 4 dogs, 2 persons and the bags and food ;-)
At 7 in the evening we arrived in Poitiers.

on Sunday we entered the CACS/CACIB show.
Jinaki entered the the intermediate class for the last time.
She was the only bitch in her class, so it was not difficult to become 1st.
She also gained an Excellent.
Jinaki had to go back in the ring for the competition for best bitch.
It was Jinaki together with the bitch from open class.
The judge measerd Jinak three times.
Finally Jinaki achieved RESERVE CACS and RESERVE CACIB.
We think the reason was that she was to litlle by his opinion.
Next time better!

Kani made it all the way to BIG 2!
Ilse and Kani congratulations.

We also practise a little with Rusty.
Well he did great. He is so easy to handle.
Our litlle happy boy!

At monday we drove back to Holland.
We had a very nice weekend with so much fun.

It was great to see how 3 boys (Kani, Jambo, Rusty) and our litlle
queen Jinaki are great togheter at our Very small hotelroom.

March 06th 2009

Tonight are we packing our bags, because tommorow where driving to France.
Ilse, Kani, Jinaki, Jambo, Rusty and I are going to the show in Poitiers.
On Sunday there is a CAC/CACIB show.
Kani and Jinaki are entering the show.
For Rusty it is a great moment to practise when the ring is empty.
And Jambo is always our mascotte.

It's a long drive, but I am sure we are going to have a great weekend.
With a lot of fun. And of course we hope for nice results.

March 01st 2009

Rusty live with us for a couple day now.
And he is doing great.

Today I made my first walk with the three together.
I cannot do that alone, so my parents in law walked with me.
Rusty must stay on the leash because he is a real hunter, and doesn't listen yet.
Jinaki had been to te vet a also have stay on the leash for a couple day's.
So we all walked with one dog, into the feelds.
The wetter was very good, and it was great to have my total pack with me.
When we all where tired and back home my father in law took some photo's
of Jambo, Jinaki, Rusty and me. And I am so happy with that.

Unfortunally we have to wait for 2,5 week untill our pack is totally complete.
Then Martijn will come home for holiday. I can't wait.

I want to say many thank to my parents in law who helped me with de dogs today, and who
come for a babysit every wednesday.

We have some great news to tell you!
Totally unexpected there walked a great livernose male into our live.
We where searching for a 3th ridgeback for a while.
Deep in our hearts we where looking for a bitch, but in our head we
knew that is not the best with our girl Jinaki.

And last week we received an e-mail from one of our friends Ilse.
She said I know it's not a female, but I also know you want
a livernose someday.
And with it was a lovely picture of a great liverboy, who was looking for a new home.

and that made us thinking, and talking.
Was this the moment to chance all our plans.
And after al lot of talking togheter, we decide this was the moment.

I send an e-mail to Milada, from Luanda Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
And by the first moment we start a nice e-mail conversation.
Milada told me everything about Rusty and why he was looking fo a new home.

And so we decided to take Rusty into our house.
Rusty is now 11 months old, so still a litlle puppy for us ;-)
He got a great pedigree. His mom is one of the most beautifull
ridgeback we have ever seen. His dad got a great character also.

And so Ilse and I drived to Dresden (Germany) last Monday,
on Tuesday morning we meet Tom, Milada with there dogs Ani, Lexi
and most important Rusty.
And in real I was even more in love with him, as on the pictures.
Rusty is a lovely, open and happy boy.
And so Ilse a I drive back with also Rusty in the car.
It was a very long drive and I arrived home half pas 10 in the evening.

Rusty find his place in our home already.
We hope Rusty will be happy with us.
We will going to train him in obdience, and we hope he will
like the showring again, so we can enter him at the shows,
togheter with Jinaki.

But first he has to find his rest in our house, and his place in our pack.

We want to thank Milada and Tom, for the trust they have in us,
and to give Rusty the chance to find a new home with us.

Today we where making us ready for the show in Hoogstraten (B)
tomorrow. But we discoverd that we totally forgot to fill in
the entry form. So it is not possible for us to take part at the show.
A little mistake of me ;-)

February 16th 2009

After a short show break, we are back in business.
New year, new changes, new class.
We deceided it was time for Jinaki to jump into the big Open Class.
For Jinaki there's no difference at all.
But I got the feeling, this was a big step.
I remember our first time in babyclass, and now it's already time
to competite in the Open Class.
Time fly's.

But the first results where very nice!!
At 07th of february we entered the show in Eindhoven.
There where 6 bitches entering. Jinaki achieved a nice Excellent.
And yesterday we have been to CAC show in Rheinberg (Germany).
In Jinaki's class there where 13 bitches entered.
Again Jinaki achieved an Excellent!

Well we hope that the results in Open class will continue in this way!

January 15th 2009

Today is a said day.
Jinaki's brother Katano passed the Rainbow Bridge.
His owners Arnoud and Lisanne did everything, to made him happy.
But it was not meant to be.....

Katano we will miss you!
I hope you have found your rest!

Arnoud and Lisanne, we have so much respect for this difficult choise.
You did the best for you beautiful and lovely boy.

January 9th 2009

Most of you know that Martijn is in Kosovo for his job for 6 months.
Well I think everybody understand that he misses Jambo and Jinaki very much.
But he have found some new great friends!!

Unfortunally this are dog of the street. They are in a bad condition.
And it is so cold for them now.....

But from now untill June I believe they get so much love from
Martijn!

January 1st 2009

Because Martijn is in Kosovo for his work for 6 months,
Jambo, Jinaki and I celebrate newyear without him again.
But we had a nice time with my parents and parents in law.

Jambo & Jinaki hugged their "grandparent" the whole evening.
And they get treats, they normally don't get ;-)
We are so happy, there is not a lot of firework in our
little village.
And they are also not really afraid of it.
 

So we jumped into 2009 easy!
